The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the league’s founding on Saturday, July 8, 2023, vs. the Wareham Gateman at 4:45 PM at Red Wilson Field at the D-Y Regional High School.
 
As part of the celebration, the Red Sox will welcome famed sports artist Frankie Galasso to the field, where he will offer signed copies of a new lithograph highlighting the great coaches and players that have played for Yarmouth-Dennis since the team’s founding in 1946.
 
“Frankie Galasso is New England’s preeminent sports artist. He has created works honoring every major sports team and many of the top athletes in the region. Frankie has produced a marvelous work of art that every Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox fan will want in their home. We can’t wait to share it with our fans,” said team President Paul Izzo.
 
The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox are among the top teams in the Cape Cod Baseball League Eastern Division. The team is coached by Scott Pickler, who is in his 25th season at the helm. The Cape Cod Baseball League, as currently constituted, was founded in 1923.
